Connecting communities
Sometimes morality meets logic, and in most times logic guides the way we do things. But in very few circumstances, morality has been used to guide distribution of resources equitably; i.e. making the poor and the vulnerable at the forefront of our plans and budgets. If this were the case, we would have reduced a lot of suffering from the poor and vulnerable people who live in underserved localities, lack opportunities to improve their lives and/or are struggling to exist; we would have directed resources to these communities so as to improve their quality of life. However this is unfortunately rarely what happens.

Of what use is modernity, if it does not bring liberty, peace, happiness and equity of opportunity to people? Of what use is modern technological and scientific advancement, if does not able to prevent needless suffering among the poor? These are some of the central questions that all of us should ask ourselves.

I feel greatly honored to welcome you to our website and organization in general. As the Founder and Executive Director of the PeerCorps, I feel the responsibilities before us, as human beings are beyond ourselves, they are deeply rooted in the communities where we live, and since communities form countries, they are therefore responsibilities of nations.

As a non-partisan, non-governmental organization, PeerCorps was founded with the philosophy of providing equitable life and opportunities to the most vulnerable members of the community, specifically, children and youth. Since then we have strived to attain the best possible equity for the few whom we have reached, because we believe that we cannot change the whole world overnight but we can bring positive changes to the few we can, and that is a contribution worth giving. We enjoy seeing the smiles on the faces of the people we are able to reach.

We will continue to speak for those with no voices, we will continue to act for those with no ability to do so, we will continue to see for those with no eyes and we will continue to listen for those who cannot hear. We will achieve this by conducting research and organizing programs that are targeted towards empowering the poor and the vulnerable.

As much as we continue to struggle to extend our support to vulnerable communities, we also continue to request our donors and well-wishers, and people with a keen interest in changing the lives of others for the better, to continue supporting our efforts by all possible means, technically and financially.
